Am vergangenen Freitag reisten wir gemeinsam nach Holland, um noch mehr über die Geschichte der Tonpfeifen zu erfahren. Zunächst fuhren wir ins „Pipe-Museum-Amsterdam“, wo wir in einer kurzweiligen Führung eine Vielzahl an Pfeifen aus verschiedenen Epochen und Ländern sehen konnten. Am Abend ging es dann weiter nach Leiden, wo wir einer Einladung von Dr. Ruud Stam folgten. Mit großer Dankbarkeit genossen wir das Wochenende bei ihm, wobei er uns zwar nicht alle seiner etwa 13.500 Pfeifen-Modelle zeigen konnte, wir aber unbeschreiblich viel über die Geschichte der Tonpfeifen lernten. Seine Sammlung ist mit Pfeifen aus allen Ländern ausgestattet, die in der Vergangenheit Pfeifen produziert haben und umfasst einen Zeitraum von über 400 Jahren. Es war ein wirklich schönes Wochenende, für das wir uns noch einmal herzlich bedanken. Es war auch sicherlich nicht unsere letzte Reise nach Leiden.
